We have been made aware from a small number of users that some emails and meeting invitations sent through Infinity are not being received. Infinity is sending the email or meeting request correctly and it is being collected by Microsoft but it is not getting sent through Exchange. Our team have investigated the issue and identified that the cause is due to a change that Microsoft have made to the way emails are handled.
Microsoft have acknowledged that this is their issue and are working on a resolution (Issue ID: EX796633 ):
I would like to inform you that we have recently integrated the High-Volume Email (HVE) feature into the Exchange Admin Center under mail flow, which has inadvertently affected the functionality of some third-party applications. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We understand how important these services are to your daily operations, and we are committed to resolving this issue promptly. Our product team is actively working on a solution to ensure that the third-party applications are fully working as it should. We are making every effort to address this as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Ikiru People engineers are also investigating alternative options to attempt to mitigate the problem whilst Microsoft look to resolve it. In the meantime we’d recommend additional vigilance when sending meetings and ensure they are received by relevant parties.
ResolutionOur team have applied some mitigation measures to the Microsoft High Volume Email (HVE) issue which was deployed in the most recent Infinity SaaS update (4.115). We have continued to monitor the situation and these measures have resolved the original issue that customers were experiencing.
